TYRES

Why are TOYOTA using General Grabber tyres on their Fortuner 4x4's???
This tyre is an all season type of tyre -basically for road use.
Of all the Fortuner's sold - 52% - are 4x4"s.
The reason Toyota put these tyres on their 4x4's - profit!!!
A GG tyre costs retail approx.R.890.00 -a B/F goodrich - A/T - costs approx.R.1500.
Do the maths on 5 tyres - scary - is'nt it.
Plus the B/F's will give you approx. 100,000 kms. motoring.
The GG tyres - will not.
Why don't the sales people give the customer the option to change - when
buying the vehicle??
Do they even know the difference??

INSIST ON GETTING THE CORRECT TYRES ON YOUR VEHICLE::

Introduction

Hi ,
As this is my first post on my website - allow me to tell you a little bit about myself and what I would
like this blog to become.
I am a 4x4 instructor working out of Hennops Offroad Trail - where I instruct people in the art of 4x4
driving. I also advise people when it comes to buying a new vehicle-4x2/4x4 -single cab/double cab
or suv. Rather save yourself the time and frustration you get when going around the various dealerships-come to me instead and receive very good advice re your next purchase.
I will also be taking out all new vehicles for a test drive - and givivg you my comments.
I am in no way a journalist - and my reports will be fair and unbiased - as no one is paying me.
The advice I give is the advice I would like to hear from someone else.
I will also be reporting on tyres/accessories/sales per month on new vehicles, and should there be
anything else you would like to hear about - please let me know
I
Safe motoring,
regards
Eagle
